Back when Heart released their first album (Dreamboat Annie) in 1976, having two females fronting a rock band was something of a novelty. The fact that sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson were young and attractive might have overshadowed their music, but the fact that they were gifted musicians, songwriters and vocalists, backed by a band of equally talented musicians, quickly stood out. Although they haven't been inclined to play the popular game of courting radio airplay, more than half of their studio albums have charted at #1.
