SANDI THOM
2006 - "Smile...It Confuses People" @320
"Smile... It Confuses People" is the first studio album by Scottish singer Sandi Thom, released in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland on June 5, 2006 (see 2006 in music) by RCA Records. The album is a mix of pop and folk, predominantly written by Thom herself alongside Tom Gilbert. The album produced Thom's first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, Ireland Singles Chart and in Australia, giving her song the record of longest period at number-one in Australia for 2006 and becoming the highest selling single for 2006. The album also generated another two singles but failed to chart successfully. "Smile... It Confuses People" was certified platinum by BPI selling three hundred thousand copies around the UK. - wikipedia

2008 - "The Pink And The Lily" @320
2008 sophomore album from the Scottish singer/songwriter. The Pink &The Lily is an album that charts Sandi's growth as a singer and as a young woman with tracks tackling deep subjects such as global warming and the corporate career path to more jovial subjects like partying too hard; a subject that spawned the song 'Saturday Night' after her Manager thought she was partying and drinking too much! The classic yet contemporary sounding record is drenched in nostalgia with a recurrent theme of a less complicated life when times were easier, like the golden age of movies on 'The Last Picturehouse' and her own childhood on 'Mirrors'. The first single from the album; the funky, zydeco influenced 'The Devil's Beat', is Sandi Thom at her best. The song, despite its upbeat tempo, is actually about one of the more serious themes on the album; global warming. - amazon.com

2010 - "Merchants And Thieves" @VBR
2010 album from the British singer/songwriter. Merchants And Thieves is an album that brilliantly reflects how Sandi has opened up a whole new channel for her creativity. Retaining her innate feeling for a powerful melody and a trenchant lyric, the record adds the new Blues sensibility that visitors to her famously powerful gigs have sensed for themselves in recent months. Thom was encouraged to bring her long-held love of such heritage music to the fore, and her respect for such guitar giants as Peter Green, as fate called for her to sit in as vocalist with Joe Bonamassa, when the modern-day Blues titan lost his voice. There's no better endorsement than his presence on the album as both singer and guitarist on the album's lead track, 'This Ol' World.' - amazon.com
