When the Australian group Python Lee Jackson found themselves between singers, a young Rod Stewart was hired to record guide vocals for the possible hit "In a Broken Dream" before he achieved major stardom. Recorded in 1969, the track was finally issued in 1972 to cash in on Stewart's solo success.
