Nice blog....have found some treasures here... as regards Freddy King, one of my faves...although the 3 'very best of' Freddy King" disks have almost all his stuff remixed into stereo...the sound on the 'blues Guitar Hero' set, despite remaining mono, is the best I've ever heard. I have owned original first pressings of all his King label LP's, and only this cd set is close. Plus there are two alternate takes of instrumentals that have NEVER appeared anywhere else... to get a good taste of just how good Freddie really was, I'd download these as the sound will let you hear HIM.... If you get a chance, try to find his RSO recordings, playing he was actually Very proud of. Buy those ones.. cuz the family gets apiece of the profits from those RI's! Thanx... Doc Rock....
